Cashing In With Your Own Product

Frank Benjamin, the author of The Bettor’s Guide to Sports Investing and creator of SportsInvestingGuide.com, took some time to write a post about selling your own product.

So you have a website, great content, banners from a select few sportsbooks, casinos and poker room and reviews of those sites.

As a webmaster of a gambling related website, most of your income comes from your referrals to the sportsbooks, casinos and poker rooms. You probably have some kind of PPC advertising on your site as well.

Though many webmasters find this revenue stream satisfying, many are not having the success that they hoped for when they first started.

I didn’t first intend to break into the online gambling arena. I knew there were a plethora a people making money online. Some of these people just compliment their day job while others are making a living online. I read a few ebooks about internet marketing and learned some basics of the craft.

The first thing that was emblazoned into my mind was that most people searching online are looking for information. I read more books, blogs and articles to find that there are multiple streams in which someone can fish out of to earn income on the internet. I looked at affiliate programs with a cynical eye. This is mainly because of the perceived lack of control (I learned better later). To me writing an ebook seemed like a much better avenue to stroll down.

I like to write. I was never bothered by research papers in high school or college; in fact I always preferred essay test of the usual multiple guess…I mean choice.
I only had to decide what to write about.

At the same time I was experience the best success I have ever experience betting on sports, mainly on NFL games and college football. This success was due to a disciplined method of betting called Sports Investing.

It then hit me; if I had a book that laid the principles of sports investing down for me all those years ago, it would have saved me thousands of dollars.
